Welcome to my Blog...

Hi, I'm Claire in Newbury, UK and I'm a little bit creative every now and again!

This is my blogsite to showcase to you all the things I make or find interesting. It's also a way of letting my family and friends know what I'm up to down in Newbury and a way for me to share photos, etc...

Thanks for stopping by and come back often as I update this page fairly regularly. Please leave comments if you like what you see or just want to say hi!

If you would like to be emailed each time I post, please let me know and I will arrange this :-)

Thanks
Claire

Wedding Bells & Kittens…

Well… Not been on here for a while as I’ve been so busy with work and my IDM Assignment #1 that I just haven’t had an awful lot to share…  But tonight was quite a surprise!

Firstly I found out that Cobweb, the little 18 month old cat we were getting in January went in for her little op today and the vet announced she was expecting kittens!!! Open-mouthed No spaying for Little Miss Cobweb then! Instead it seems that she’ll have two little kittens at the end of January!  It also means that she’ll be staying put for now where she is and we will wait until her Kittens are 8 weeks old… So March time… seems ages away as I’ve been so looking forward to getting her in January…but I’m sure it’ll soon pass!  I’m hoping to get lots of photos so that I can share them with you on here…

At this moment in time – we’re not 100% sure what the plan of action is – there is a possibility that we could keep a kitten as a companion to Cobweb.  This would actually be a lot kinder to her in the long run as she then won’t feel lonely in the flat when Jim and I are at work.  Tonkinese are very intelligent cats and similar to the Siamese they need company… either be it human or feline! Smile but discussions will need to happen and lots more questions asked before we finally decide what to do!

The other news I received tonight is that a work colleague proposed to his lovely girlfriend and she accepted!  I’m over the moon for them as they are such a lovely couple and are very happy together… It’s great news!  They’re off to spend a couple of nights in a posh 5* hotel in London on Monday to choose the ring! Lovely! Smile

Over the last week, Newbury has seen quite a lot of snow… which is a little too early for a white Christmas and is absolutely gorgeous to look at – but awful to deal with!  I can’t believe the disruption it has caused for so many people (Monday night being the worst!)… It has started raining today and by the looks of the weather reports more rain to come – so hopefully all the compacted snow/ice will shift.  It was quite something walking home from work tonight – would have been better off with ice-skating boots on!

I’m looking forward to tomorrow afternoon when I finally get on the train home to Stockport for Christmas.  I’ve really missed my family the last couple of months so it’ll be lovely to spend some time with them!

Right – best be off to get some sleep.  Early start tomorrow so I can pack before work! Smile

Love Claire xx
